Wheels of Harmony brings the power of music, storytelling, and cultural expression directly into Montana communities. This fall, Opera Montana welcomes soprano Kate Morton, tenor/sopranist Garrett Abel, and pianist and composer J. Cruise Berry for a unique program celebrating Indigenous voices alongside the traditions of opera and musical theatre.
The program features traditional Indigenous music, classical opera and musical theatre, and modern works by Indigenous composers. Through these selections, audiences will experience how music carries stories, preserves cultural traditions, and creates connections across communities.
Wheels of Harmony introduces audiences to Indigenous music and culture while creating space for conversation about Montana’s Tribal Nations and the diverse histories and experiences that shape our communities. The program also encourages young people to see music and performance as possibilities for their own lives.
